About Me...
Early Childhood...
I grew up in a relatively small place named Peterlee, in County Durham.
We had lots of green grass outside our house, a dene nearby, and lots of trees to climb. For quite a sensitive, reserved child, I was probably more adventurous than I would have been, had I grown up in the city!
Education...
When I was 16, I moved to Sunderland. In 2002, I returned to education, studying a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Sunderland. In 2006, I became a primary school teacher and taught in many schools throughout the North East of England. But in 2008, I flew away...Oh, the places I would go!
Teaching and Travelling...
I had always dreamed of living overseas. Have you? Teaching is one of the best jobs to have because you can work anywhere! But where? My first stop was Bangkok, then moving to Vietnam and finally China. I taught some amazing children and met some truly wonderful people along the way.
Becoming an Author...
I've always written ideas, poems and stories but only now, have I started putting them together in book format. It takes time and dedication and lots of editing.
